 La ceremonia de clausura de las Olimpiadas concluyó sin que llegara el momento que tanto esperábamos: la referencia a Doctor Who. Pero no os desaniméis, porque ha habido referencias que, aunque no son verdaderas, los Whovians queremos creer que si lo son.

 La más importante de todas fueron las TARDIS humanas. Estas personas llevaban traje azul, sombrero azul y una bombilla sobre el sombrero. Así que no es de extrañar que todo fan de Doctor Who pensara al verlos: "¡La TARDIS!".

 El comentarista español mencionó algo sobre "regenerarse", y los Whovians españoles sonreímos, relacionando esta palabra con nuestro querido Doctor.

 Cuando los romanos aparecieron, pensamos en Rory, el último centurión.

 Pudimos escuchar a The Who (que incluyo como referencia por el "Who"); un fragmento de Bohemian Rhapsody de Queen, que como ya dije fue interpretado por el undécimo Doctor, Amy y Rory en la Nerd HQ; y Mr. Blue Sky de la Electric Light Orchestra, canción que aparece en el episodio "Amor y Monstruos" de la segunda temporada de Doctor Who.

 En conclusión, referencias muchas, pero ninguna que se pueda decir: "¡Eso es! ¡Esto es un homenaje al Doctor!".

 The Olympics closing ceremony concluded without the arrival of the moment we waited so much for: the Doctor Who reference. But don't become discouraged, because there have been references that, though not real, we Whovians want to believe they are.

 The most important from all of them were the human TARDIS. These people wore a blue suit, a blue hat and a light bulb above the hat. So it's not strange that every Doctor Who fan thought when seeing them: "The TARDIS!".

 The Spanish commentator mentioned something about "regenerate", and we Spanish Whovians smiled, linking this word with our dear Doctor.

 When the Romans appeared, we thought about Rory, the last centurion.

 We could listen to The Who(which I include as reference because of the "Who"); a fragment of Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody, that as I already said, was performed by the eleventh Doctor, Amy and Rory at Nerd HQ; and Electric Light Orchestra's Mr. Blue Sky, song that appears on Doctor Who's second series episode "Love and Monsters".

 In conclusion, a lot of references, but none that we can say: "That's it! This is a homage to the Doctor!"

  Zachary Levi, nuestro querido Chuck Bartowski, nos sorprendió la semana pasada con su nueva serie web: Trailer Park Heroes. En las afueras de San Diego, unas personas disfrazadas que iban de camino a la famosa Comic-Con se han vuelto locas y están comiéndose a la gente viva. Un grupo de vecinos tendrá que luchar contra estos zombis por su vida.

 El cast se compone de Zac Levi, Joel Moore (Colin Fisher en la serie Bones), Jason Biggs (Jim en las películas de American Pie), Aly Michalka (de la serie Hellcats y cantante del dúo 78violet ) y Adam Baldwin, cuyo papel nos recordará a sus antiguos personajes de Chuck y Firefly (Casey y Jayne respectivamente) pero como siempre, con un matiz que lo hará distinto de éstos. No hace falta decir que estos actores hacen un gran trabajo, pues son todos increíbles. Aunque esperemos que Zac le ofrezca participar a Nathan Fillion (Firefly y Castle), quien ¡hasta se lo ha pedido en twitter!

 Esta serie te hará reír con sus divertidos guiones y sus alusiones y referencias a Marvel, DC, Star Trek, Star Wars y otros como Harry Potter y Dragon Ball. Por ahora hay dos episodios, el primero de cinco minutos; el segundo no llega a tres minutos, pero no hace falta más para asegurar las risas.

 Zachary Levi, our dear Chuck Bartowski, surprised us last week with his new web series: Trailer Park Heroes. On the outside of San Diego, some people on costumes that were on their way to the famous Comic-Con have gone crazy and are eating people alive. A bunch of neighbours will have to fight for their lives against these zombies.

 The cast consists of Zac Levi, Joel Moore (Colin Fisher on the tv show Bones), Jason Biggs (Jim on the American Pie movies), Aly Michalka (from the tv show Hellcats and singer from the duo 78violet) and Adam Baldwin, whose role will remind us his former characters from Chuck and Firefly (Casey and Jayne respectively) but as always, with a touch that will make him different from them. There's no need to say that these actors do a great job, as all of them are awesome. Though let's hope Zac offers a role to Nathan Fillion (Firefly and Castle), who has even asked him for it on twitter!

 This show will make you laugh with its funny scripts and its allusions and references to Marvel, DC, Star Trek, Star Wars and other like Harry Potter and Dragon Ball. By the time being there are two episodes, the first lasts five minutos; the second lasts less than three minutes, but it does not need more to ensure the laughter.

  Hace meses hablé de una fantástica serie llamada Veronica Mars. Como ya sabréis, ésta es una serie de misterio en la que la protagonista, una joven detective, resuelve casos de lo más intrigantes y emocionantes.

 Pero desgraciadamente, esta serie sólo duró tres temporadas. Fue cancelada, dejando a los fans con muchas preguntas. Algunas fueron contestadas por Rob Thomas, creador de la serie, pero nosotros seguimos queriendo más Veronica Mars, y los que trabajaron en la serie también. Y ésto sería posible con una película de Veronica Mars.

 Durante los últimos años, Rob Thomas y Kristen Bell (VM) han animado a los fans a luchar por conseguir que esta película fuera posible.Y eso es lo que hemos estado haciendo. Aunque hayan pasado años, no nos rendimos. Por eso escribo esto y os dejo algunos enlaces a peticiones que podéis firmar.

  Months ago I talked about a fantastic TV show called Veronica Mars. As you already know, it's a mystery show in which the main character, a young detective, solves intriguing and thrilling cases.

 But sadly, this show only lasted for three seasons. It was cancelled, leaving the fans with many questions. Some of them were answered by Rob Thomas, show's creator, but we still want more Veronica Mars, and the people who worked on the show want it too. And this would be possible with a Veronica Mars movie.

 For the last years, Rob Thomas and Kristen Bell (VM) have encouraged fans to fight to make this movie possible. And that is what we have been doing. Although years have passed, we don't give up. That's why I write this and leave you some links to petitions you can sign.

 Steven Moffatt y Mark Gatiss son los responsables de esta nueva versión del detective más famoso de la historia, creado por Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, en la que Sherlock y Watson resuelven crímenes en el siglo 21.

 Benedict Cumberbatch (a quien podéis ver en Caballo de Batalla de Steven Spielberg) interpreta a Sherlock Holmes, mientras que el doctor Watson es interpretado por Martin Freeman (Bilbo Bolsón en El Hobbit de Peter Jackson). Estos dos británicos aportan una increíble actuación a los geniales guiones.

 Esta divertidísima, emocionante e intrigante serie consta de dos temporadas de tres episodios de 90 minutos cada una. La primera temporada se emitió en BBC One en 2010, y la segunda se está emitiendo actualmente. En España se emite en TNT y en Antena 3, que estrenó ayer el primer episodio. También puedes verla online.

 Dexter es un drama basado en el libro "Darkly Dreaming Dexter" ("Dexter: El oscuro pasajero" en España), escrito por Jeff Lindsay. El guionista James Manos, Jr. hizo la adaptación para televisión.

 Dexter Morgan parece un tipo normal y corriente. Trabaja como analista forense en la policía de Miami, tiene una guapa novia y le gusta salir en su barco para pasar el tiempo. Pero en realidad, esconde un oscuro secreto. Es un asesino en serie, y sus víctimas, son otros asesinos en serie.

 Incapaz de sentir nada por nadie, se esconde bajo la fachada de un compañero simpático, un buen hermano y un novio comprensivo. Pero por la noche busca a los que han escapado de la justicia para encargarse de ellos a su manera. Esto se debe a su padre adoptivo, un policía que, al darse cuenta de la oscuridad en Dexter, decidió buscarle un propósito. Siguiendo el código de Harry, Dexter se encargará de los asesinos en serie de Miami y descubrirá que no está tan vacío por dentro como su padre pensaba.

 Michael C. Hall es Dexter; Jennifer Carpenter es Debra, su hermana adoptiva que intenta convertirse en detective de homicidios; Julie Benz es Rita, su preciosa novia a la que utiliza como tapadera de un chico normal; James Remar es Harry, su padre adoptivo, al que veremos en flashbacks; Lauren Velez es la teniente LaGuerta, más preocupada por la política que por las víctimas; David Zayas es Angel Batista, un simpático detective de homicidios; C.S. Lee es Masuka, un investigador forense pervertido; Erik King es el sargento Doakes, el único que desconfía de Dexter; Christina Robinson es Astor, la hija de Rita; y Preston Bailey (Daniel Goldman en la primera temporada) es el hijo de Rita, Cody, quien admira a Dexter y le encanta estar con él.

 Esta serie está llena emoción, intriga, humor al estilo Dexter y emotividad. Los guiones y la dirección son excelentes; la música original de la serie es perfecta; y los actores hacen un magnífico trabajo, sobre todo Michael C. Hall, que a pesar de haberse enfrentado a un cáncer linfático siguió asombrándonos con su actuación.

 En cuanto a adaptación, la primera temporada está basada en el primer libro de Dexter, pero en la segunda temporada empieza a tomar un rumbo distinto al de los libros.

 Dexter empezó a emitirse en 2006 en el canal Showtime de Estados Unidos, y recientemente terminó de emitir su sexta temporada. Pero no os preocupéis, porque ya ha sido renovada para dos temporadas más.

 Unable to have feelings for anyone, he hides under the disguise of a nice colleague, a good brother and an understanding boyfriend. But at night he looks for those who have escaped justice to take care of them on his way. This is because of his adoptive father, a cop that, realizing the darkness inside Dexter, decided to find a purpose to it. Following Harry's code, Dexter will take care of Miami's serial killers and he will find out he's not as empty inside as his father thought.

 Michael C. Hall is Dexter; Jennifer Carpenter is Debra, his adoptive sister who's trying to become a homicide detective; Julie Benz is Rita, his beautiful girlfriend, whom he uses as a cover of a normal guy; James Remar is Harry, his adoptive father, who will be seen on flashbacks; Lauren Velez is Lieutenant LaGuerta, who's more worried about politics than victims; David Zayas is Angel Batista, a nice homicide detective; C.S. Lee is Masuka, a pervert forensics investigator; Erik King is Sergeant Doakes, the only one who suspects of Dexter; Christina Robinson is Astor, Rita's daughter; and Preston Bailey (Daniel Goldman on the first season) is Rita's son Cody, who admires Dexter and loves being with him.

 This show is full of thrill, intrigue, Dexter-style humor and emotion. The scripts and direction are excellent; the show's original music is perfect; and the actors do an amazing work, specially Michael C. Hall, who despite of having faced a lymphatic cancer he kept amazing us with his acting.

 As to the adaptation, the first season is based on the first book of Dexter, but on the second season it begins to take a course different from the books.

 Dexter began broadcasting in 2006 on Showtime, and it recently finished airing its sixth season. But don't worry, because it has already been renewed for two more seasons.

 Warning, it is not recommended for minors.
