Jay Chou

  Jay Chou, nacido el 18 de enero de 1979 en Taiwán, es un cantante y actor de gran fama en Asia. Desde pequeño tuvo gran interés por la música: estudiaba piano y se pasaba el tiempo grabando canciones y sonidos con una vieja grabadora.

 Después del instituto, él y un amigo participaron en un concurso de talentos en el que tocó el piano mientras su amigo cantaba una canción escrita por Jay. Aunque no ganaron, el presentador contrató a Jay como compositor para otros cantantes. Cuando el estudio de música fue vendido, le pidieron que sacara su propio álbum, y así comenzó su carrera como cantante. Desde el 2000, Jay ha sacado un álbum por año, excepto en 2009, siendo el último "Exclamation mark", que sacó el 11 de noviembre de este año.

 En 2005, Jay empezó su carrera como actor protagonizando “Initial D”, basada en el manga japonés del mismo nombre. Después actuó en otras películas como “La maldición de la flor dorada” junto a Chow Yun-Fat y “Kung Fu Dunk” (película que recomiendo a los que les guste la comedia, el baloncesto o las artes marciales). También protagonizó y dirigió la película “Secret” (nombre original “Bu neng shuo de mimi - Un secreto que no puedo contar”), una película original, romántica, con una historia y una banda sonora increíbles. En 2011 co-protagonizó junto a Seth Rogen “The Green Hornet”, en la que interpreta a Kato.

  Jay Chou, born 18 January 1979 in Taiwan, is a singer and an actor of great fame in Asia. Since an early age he had a great interest in music: he studied piano and spent time recording songs and sounds with an old recorder.

 After high school, he and a friend participated in a talent show in which he played the piano while his friend sang a song written by Jay. Though they didn’t win, the host hired Jay as a composer for other singers. When the music studio was sold, he was asked to release his own album, and that’s how his music career started. Since 2000, Jay has released an album per year, except in 2009, being the last one “Exclamation mark”, that was released on November 11 this year.

 On 2005, Jay started his actor career starring in “Initial D”, based on the Japanese manga of the same name. After that he starred in “Curse of the golden flower” alongside Chow Yun-Fat and in “Kung Fu Dunk” (movie that I recommend to those who like comedy, basketball or martial arts). He also starred in and directed “Secret” (original name “Bu neng shuo de mimi - A secret that I can’t tell”), an original, romantic movie with an awesome story and soundtrack. On 2011 he co-starred alongside Seth Rogen in “The Green Hornet”, where he plays Kato.
